Marijuana candy recipes

2 are the marijuana candy recipes I want to share with you in this article, so you can sweeten up a meeting with friends or just give yourself a delight when you feel like it.

Since I’ve had a family, my night outings have been reduced to the bare minimum, at least when it comes to going out for drinks or dancing. However, the other day I met up with my friends for dinner and whatever else was going on and, to my surprise, I walked into a traditional cocktail bar in my town: they had homemade whiskey candies!?

After trying them out and talking a little with the waiter, I saw clearly: if they had made their star product a tourist phenomenon, I could also make weed candy in my own home.

So I went crazy looking for marijuana candy recipes, I chose the recipes that I thought were simpler and today I come to share them with you, because I think it is an experience that is really worthwhile.

No, candy is not just for children or grandparents! They are for all ages, although of course, those that I invite you to prepare today, better not to give them to either of them, only to friends with whom you share your tastes and, of course, who know beforehand what it is about.

I assure you that you will love the experience and it is much easier than it may seem at first glance. So what, you imagine making your own cannabis caramel? Yeah? Then get some paper and pen because we’re starting..✍

⭐ Cannabis Candy with Chocolate

One of the first things that was clear to me when I was looking for recipes to make these marijuana sweets was that they really did their job: to sweeten. This seems so obvious, but it’s not. Why? very simple: cannabis is a plant and as such will always have that rather strong, earthy taste, regardless of whether you smoke or smell the final taste you leave in your mouth is sweet.

So I looked for recipes that had ingredients that really assured me that those candies were going to be real candy and not something bitter, as I’ve been given on occasion to try homemade marijuana candies.

And as I know that chocolate never fails in these cases, the first recipe I’m going to advise you is the one with the following ingredients:

You got it all? Yeah? So keep reading because now we are going with the steps to take:

Step 1: Take a baking pan and grease it so that the mixture you’re going to put in it doesn’t stick to make the candies – how? with cannabis butter, but if you prefer you can do it with hemp seed oil.

Take a baking pan and grease it

Step 2: Cut the chocolate and marshmallows into small chunks so that it is easier for you to put them in the blender.

Cut the chocolate and marshmallows

Step 3: Then, in a large enough casserole dish, heat the marijuana butter, condensed milk and sugar over a medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent them from sticking! And bring it to the boil. At that point, reduce the heat to low and stay the same for 2 hours (remember to turn it over every few hours).

heat the marijuana butter, condensed milk and sugar

Step 4: After this time, add the chocolate, the marshmallows and the optional ingredients (if you have chosen them) and go around until everything falls apart. A word of advice: I’d give it a couple of turns with the mixer to make everything more homogeneous.

add the chocolate, the marshmallows and the optional ingredients

Step 5: Pour the mixture into a mould and when it is cold or can be put in the refrigerator, introduce it. I’d say a whole day. But if you don’t have that much time, at least 4 or 6 hours (depending on how cold your fridge is) to make it more or less hard.

Pour the mixture into a mould and put in the refrigerator

Step 6: Remove the mould and cut it into small pieces. If you want to roll the blanket over your head, now is the time to put those portions on paper to make them look like real candy.

Remove the mould and cut it

And, remember, you’re not smoking marijuana! So the effect will take at least an hour to arrive, but when it does, it will be much stronger, so go slowly. Eat very little and see how your body reacts. And, of course, between bites, leave an hour so you don’t get any fright

👾 Marijuana-flavored candy tongues

Here is our marijuana candy recipe. I don’t know about you, but I love spicy candy tongues. So I’ve been looking for a recipe that, although it’s not going to taste the same, it does look similar. You’re gonna need it to make it:

Once you have all the ingredients at your fingertips, the steps to follow are as simple as the first recipe

Step 1: Do you know what the Bain Marie is? Then you know you have to take two pots of different sizes that can overlap each other. In the first one put two or three fingers of water to heat and in the second one, the sugar, water and honey I mentioned in the list above. Stir until a viscous mass is created; the caramel.

Heat the sugar, water and honey in a bain-marie

Step 2: After about 10 to 15 minutes (once you have the texture I was telling you about), add the coloring and butter and continue stirring until you have a uniform dough.

Add the coloring and butter

Step 3: Take a long mould, grease it and pour in the mixture you have just made. Make sure it doesn’t get too high, if you want to make the strips I mentioned later.

Take a long mould

Step 4: as if it were magic, little by little you will see that the mixture is hardening. Leave it as long as you need to get the texture you want. Once it is ready, cut it into strips and sprinkle the icing sugar over them.

Cut it into strips

NOTE: If it is more convenient for you to eat, once you have the strips made, you can also cut them into small cubes. Also, if you want to give shape to the candies, instead of taking the long mould I told you about, choose a special one to make shapes, it will be very funny!

🔥 Chewing gum and lollipops of marijuana

You may also find that you don’t like this kitchen stuff very much and prefer to buy your marijuana candies already made. Where? In our online store.

On the one hand, we have the famous cannabis lollipops that you can find in any coffee shop in Amsterdam; in fact, they come straight from there

So, what’s so special about these lollipops? They have all the flavor of marijuana, but with the advantage that it has no psychoactive or medicinal effects, because it does not contain THC or CBD and its sale is 100% legal. In addition, they are gluten and lactose free, making them accessible to all marijuana lovers.

On the other hand, we also have marijuana gum. In this case they do contain CBD, so you can benefit from the properties of this substance typical of therapeutic marijuana, with anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant and help you to calm stress and anxiety in a natural way.

These chewing gums belong to the company Endoca, which is committed to organic and natural products and, therefore, free of sugars and chemical preservatives. Of course, its sale is totally legal and in each box you can enjoy 10 units of gum, without psychoactive effects.

Marijuana Candies: What They Are And How To Make Them

Marijuana candies come in all colors, shapes and sizes, from gummies to lollipops to mints. Eating cannabis candies can be a tasty, and more potent, alternative to smoking marijuana. Yet store bought candies can be expensive – one reason you might want to explore making them in the comfort of your own home. Eating marijuana candies also offers a discrete cannabinoid delivery system especially useful for those who live in apartments where smoking is not permitted. It’s also nice for those who want to take their cannabis with a sweet treat.

This article sets you up with two recipes for cannabis candies, as well as an understanding of the differences in experiences between eating and smoking weed.

Why Marijuana Candies?

There are many reasons people turn to cannabis candies as an alternative to smoking or vaping. For one thing, eating candies does not require inhaling charred plant matter into the lungs, which can cause dry mouth, throat irritation and chronic health issues over the long term.

As a type of marijuana edible, cannabis candies can produce a more potent “high” than just smoking. This is due to the way the body processes marijuana when it’s eaten. By the time THC reaches your stomach and then liver, your digestive processes convert it into 11-hydroxy-THC, which is a more potent version of the cannabinoid.

Demand for cannabis candies appears to be growing. One report estimated the size of the total cannabis edibles market – including candy, beverages and chocolate – to reach more than $4B USD by the year 2022.

How To Make Marijuana Candy

Making candy can be a bit intimidating, especially if you’ve never done it before. However the recipes below are simple, with only a few ingredients, to help ease beginners into the process. The results are delicious.

How To Make Marijuana Lollipops

The key to successfully creating hard candy is making sure you get the temperature right. Heating candy to what’s known as the “hard crack” stage will give your lollipop the structure it needs. For best results, you will need a candy thermometer.

Also be prepared: making weed lollipops can be a messy process. Consider covering your work area with parchment paper.

  • 2-3 tbsp of cannabis tincture
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ¼ cut filtered water
  • 1 tsp orange or lemon flavoring
  • Saucepan
  • Candy thermometer
  • Candy molds – look for silicon molds for ease of removing finished candy
  • Lollipop sticks
  1. Over medium-high heat, combine sugar, corn syrup and filtered water. Stir until sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil. When boiling, do not stir and insert the candy thermometer.
  3. When the thermometer reaches 300 degrees Fahrenheit, immediately remove from heat. Do not remove the thermometer.
  4. Wait until the mixture cools down to 250 degrees Fahrenheit, stir in the lemon or orange flavoring and the cannabis tincture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the candy molds.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool completely, which will take 20 minutes or more.
  7. Enjoy, or store in an airtight container.

How To Make Marijuana Gummies

THC gummies are a popular choice for consuming weed, in part because they are easy and quick to make. And who doesn’t love the cute shape of happy-looking gummy bears? The secret ingredient to making good gummies is stirring – be prepared to stir for about 15 minutes straight with this recipe. But all the elbow grease will be worth it.

  • ½ cup cannabis oil
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 85 grams of flavoured gelatine
  • 2 tbsp unflavored gelatine (for a vegan version, try using agar agar and food flavoring instead).
  • ½ teaspoon soy lecithin (optional)
  • Saucepan
  • Whisk
  • Gummy bear moulds
  • Dropper (this usually comes with many gummy bear moulds)
  1. Over low heat, combine water, cannabis oil and soy lecithin (if using) into a saucepan. Stir until the coconut oil has entirely melted, and the mixture has a consistent texture.
  2. Add gelatin or agar agar and food flavoring.
  3. Whisk continuously for about 15 minutes, ensuring the gelatin has completely dissolved. Make sure the mixture does not come to a boil at any point.
  4. Keeping the pot over low heat, begin filling up the gummy bear moulds with the dropper. Work as quickly as you can, ensuring the mixture doesn’t cool off too much, since this can encourage separation of the mixture in the pot. Whisking throughout the process will also help prevent the mixture from hardening.
  5. Pop the moulds into the freezer for about half an hour.
  6. Remove from freezer and place a gummy into your mouth. Enjoy!

How To Be Safe Consuming Cannabis Candies

Anyone who’s had experience with edibles will probably have a story or two from when they ate way too much. (For yours truly, it was homemade brownies right before thanksgiving dinner – yikes!). Fortunately, eating too much cannabis comes with far lower risks than drugs such as alcohol. Still, caution is advised. It’s best to follow the old adage, “start low and go slow”: only eat a small amount to begin with, and wait at least an hour (or ideally after you begin feeling the effects) before consuming more.

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds found in the cannabis sativa plant which are sought after for their mind-altering or potential medicinal effects. The two most well-known cannabinoids are THC and CBD.

THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a psychoactive cannabinoid that provides users with the feeling of being “high”. THC interacts with the endocannabinoid system in human beings, and can evoke feelings of joy, increased appetite and enhancement of the senses. However, it’s possible to get too much of a good thing by overloading your system on THC. While experts tend to agree that the possibility of dying from a cannabis overdose is close to non-existent, the results can be unpleasant. Impaired judgement, confusion, anxiety, short-term memory loss and delusions are all potential symptoms of too much THC-infused candy.

Many users of CBD, or cannabidiol, consider it a medicine to alleviate various symptoms, from pain to inflammation, though the evidence supporting these claims is largely anecdotal. Unlike THC, however, CBD doesn’t get users high. This makes CBD overdose less of a problem than THC overdose. However in some people taking too much CBD has been found to cause diarrhea, changes in appetite and fatigue.

Read The Edible Label

It’s always a good idea to read the label of any cannabis candy product you purchase in order to understand the dosage each piece of candy will contain. For beginners, gummies containing approximately 5 mg of THC is a good dose to help you understand your tolerance and how edibles affect you.

However, a word of caution is necessary. With gummies and candies, it can be difficult to dose each candy with precisely the same dose – even for store-bought, trusted brands. Individual pieces of candy may contain more or less cannabinoid content than advertised on the package. This is why it’s important to always start low and go slow – and understand that no two experiences will ever be exactly the same.

Pros And Cons Of Cannabis Candies

There are pros and cons to consuming cannabis candies. However, the cons are mostly due to situations where too much THC is consumed, which can be uncomfortable. Below are some benefits and drawbacks to eating cannabis candies:

  • The highs are longer lasting than smoking (anywhere from three to seven hours, or more)
  • Highs tend to be stronger because of the different assimilation pathways when compared with smoking
  • More discrete than smoking
  • Doesn’t irritate throat
  • You need to be prepared for a longer experience
  • Effects may be too strong, for too long
  • Anxiety or paranoia
  • Nausea or vomiting

Cannabis candies are a tasty, fun and effective way to reap the effects of THC and CBD. Whether store-bought or homemade, marijuana candies can provide relief from pain or a fun night with friends – especially when used in moderation.
